buuuuuut I need tires anyway because the winters will hopefully need to come off soon. (fingers crossed... knocks on wood). So i figure why not spend another 100 or so and get some new rims while I'm at it. Unfortunately there isn't a ton of options on CL at the moment. 4x100 wheels are as common as the used to be with everything going to a five lug set up, and its even harder to find 16"s or even 15"s and I'd like to go a little bigger than stock. I've always thought 16"s were perfect for Civics, but one thing that changed my mind is that my 6th gen does run a tire size almost a full inch taller than any before it so 17's don't look quite as silly. ON problem is one picture of some damage. I can't tell if it;s corrosion/curb rash or if the edge of the wheel is actually damaged to the point that it would leak/ride weird.

what do you guys think?

Also if any one lives within a couple hours of Ashland Wi and wants to sell me some wheels with tires for around this price let me know.

they have a pretty small sidewall, 45 series, compared to the 15 and 16 wheels that usually have 50 or 55. So you SHOULDNT encounter rubbing issues.

Seem alright, but $450 is a little high unless those tyres are in really good condition (based on prices on my local craigslist). But you could likely resell them later for about the same, so could be worth it.

And they came off of another Honda, so likely you wouldn't have hub size issues.

I'm not worried about rubbing. too much the tirerack recommenced size on a 17 for my car is a 215/45/17 which is actually about 1/3 inch taller, and the same width. and voxxes should be a stanard offset like 40+ I thick my facorty is 42+

Too much money for used rims/tires IMO, back when I was going through rubber I got these 17's for $300

& these 18's for $350.

(sorry, best photos I have)

Both sets had decent tread too. I'd try to talk the seller down if I was you.

in buying non-oem honda wheels from criaglist the offset and the hub size were the only issues I've found. BMW and VW have plenty of 4x100 and their offset tends to be very low. and one set of no name brand wheels I bought had a very large accomodating hub that required purchase of hub centric alignment rings to prevent a shaking

buying on CL should always include talking the seller's price down. lol
